WHAT IS THE PORT SERVICE?

The Port Service is an organism dependent on the General Direction of Public Works, Housing, ,and Water Works of the Canary Islands Government.

Its area of responsability is the maintenance, management and the offering of services at the ports of the Canary Islands which do not depend on Spanish State Entity of Public Ports. At present, the Port Service manages twelve principle ports, five of which corresponding to the Province of Tenerife and the remaining seven, to the Province of Las Palmas.

From the administrative point of view, the Port Service has two branch offices: one in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and other in Las Palmas.
